The Parrot Asteroid will take in-car entertainment to a new level because it forever changes the way we use our stereo audio. Now applications such as smartphone counterparts for Asteroid are being developed. For example, there is a Parrot Apps application that allows you to zoom in on a place. While there are several apps out there, the developers believe that car apps can be a huge market because there are thousands of apps in the car, from providing directions to finding an available parking spot.

French manufacturer Parrot will launch the Parrot Asteroid in Europe in the next few weeks, while the American launch is scheduled at a later date. The Parrot Asteroid can perform common tasks, from playing music from iPod / USB to providing services such as traffic information and maps. Pricing is not yet known, but rumour has it that this device will be available in the normal price range for car audio in order to compete with other markets.
